Abhisek's father passed away due to an untreated fever. His mother Jasmani earns about $25 per month as a day laborer. He has a 9-year-old sister. Their family house consists of mud walls and a clay tile roof. The pastor~director of our nearby Dream Centre heard about the family situation and approached Jasmani about Abhisek coming to live with us. Now the boy is thriving and receiving a good education. He tells us his dream is to be a teacher someday.
