Calvin Wall – Memorial
IN LOVING MEMORY OF: Calvin Wall
Those who had the privilege of knowing Cal would attest that after meeting him, he made you feel like you had been friends for a lifetime. He would take the time to talk with anyone, anytime and was never too busy not to stop and chat about family, hockey or business.
Cal’s generosity is legendary, and he would literally give the shirt or coat off his back or, when he heard of someone in need, and would quietly and anonymously find a way to help. Cal took a keen interest in helping children in India, and through Good News India, helped build schools and orphanages to provide shelter and education for hundreds of children. Cal was also a big supporter of Adeara in Edmonton, which helps women overcome addiction while keeping their children through the process.
Cal’s faith and love for his saviour, Jesus, was paramount in his life. Having grown up in a pastor’s home, Cal’s love for the church was evident, and he helped to support many churches and the causes they were involved in. He wanted people to know Jesus, and he strived to live a life that was exemplary of his faith.
Following his faith, Cal’s family was the most important thing in his life. 36 years ago, he married Lorelei, the love of his life, and they raised two exceptional children, Kelby and Kylor. He was actively involved in their lives and participated in and attended hundreds of baseball and hockey games, coaching and cheering them on.
Cal’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
