URGENT BULLETIN:

Good News India is making a significant impact upon the backward and violent Lodha tribal people. We have 150+ kids who are moving towards a better future and have made history by being the first to graduate from High School and head to college.

Saturday at 4:10 PM (Indian Standard time) a tornado touched down right on top of our Lodha Dream Centre.

150 kids huddled inside. One boy had a head injury but is going to be OK. The fierce wind tore off the tin roof and twisted the trusses into pretzels.

80% of the Dream Centre is destroyed.

Dormitory, Dining area, Kitchen, Bath/toilets… all severely damaged. The concrete Chapel survived just fine.

Immediately, I need to temporarily stabilize the kitchen, toilets and a couple of rooms for the kids to sleep in. The Chapel is also being used as a temporary dormitory.

That area sees regular strong storms and high winds that keep blowing off our tin roofs… Perhaps it is time to build an all concrete structure there too.

The cost will be $120,000. Considering the impact that we are having in the community, it is a great investment.

FOLLOW UP REPORT: Following this post on May 15, God’s people responded and the funds came in to build a complete new Dream Centre here… more than enough. So repairs can even be made at other Dream Centres. God is GOOD!!
